I’m addicted to accessories, and I’m proud of it. Every flea market represents to me a treasure to touch, discover, hold. Once I used to collect boyfriends and necklaces, then I discovered earrings, sunglasses and shoes, so I’ve decided to keep the best boyfriend and give a chance to my obsession. I own an huge number of them, and “minimalism” is not the exact title of this chapter of my life. In fact I can wear for years black cheap cotton dresses, but nothing makes me happier than wearing eccentric accessories – maybe colourful, crazy! in this way my low profile dress turns in just one second into a cocktail frock, then in a work look, to come back in a simple mise.
If you’re wondering if curvy girls can easily wear crazy accessories, I just say “Yes” with a smile. Nothing can transform a mise like an eye-catching-accessory (or more than one!): weight loss assured in a super short time! And if Coco Chanel won’t agree with that, I’m sorry Madamoiselle, we won’t cry for that.
In these confused images, taken at night (I’m sorry!), you can see some of the accessories I bought on my last trip to London. As you can notice affectation and eccentricity go hand in hand in my wardrobe, so here’s some stuff purchased in the beautiful Brick Lanes market, like that lovely faux leather chain bracelet terribly reminiscent of the CC Skye’s ones (but mine was only 1 pound!), a beautiful vintage ring with a broken heart and a blue stones broche found in one of the most famous market stalls of Portobello Road.
I always and everywhere bring with me my teenager soul, so I couldn’t resist in front of these fashionable colored glasses bought in CamdenTown: I got these Club Master style glasses for only 6 pounds, and they’re actually a masterpiece of my girlie treasure.
To love to madness, also the cameo necklace, still bought in Brick Lane, “Cat Consomme tongue, “: a tribute to my kitten-boyfriend, a couple of cheap & chic Primark’s bangles, as well as my new patriotic earrings.
Totally beautiful, also my new hermes-alike vintage bag paid about 20 pound at Absolute Vintage, one of the best shops of Brick Lane: if you go there don’t miss it. You won’t stop buy 🙂
Obviously cosmetic’s shopping had a good part of my Easter in the UK, where I decided to try a mineral foundation (not really mineral, but I don’t care) by Maybelline, a very strong Mac’s blush and two pairs of nail polishes and lipsticks; Respectively by Barry M (one of my favorite brands) and Sleek (I simply love them!).
I was in a “photophotophoto” mood, then in this post you can also find some products bought at Kiko on my return, because nail polishes are never enough, isn’t right? 🙂
if you’re wondering, in this post there are so many pieces missing: about 20 frocks (I’m not joking!), some shoes, purses, a belt and so on, but I don’t want to bore you, then I will show them one step at a time, outfit after outfit.
And what about you? Do you love quirky accessories like me or do you prefer to go simple? I am addicted to accessories, and I’m not going to stop!
PS in this period I’m so busy and I feel so sorry… then you can see me shy in front of you wearing some of my lovely new pieces 🙂
